2. Overview

InnerPulse is an app for self-reflection and mood tracking. All your data stays on your device. We have no access to it.

3. What data is collected?

InnerPulse only collects data that you actively enter into the app:

• Mood scores (1–10) with date and time
• Free-text journal entries
• Assigned influence factors (e.g., sleep, exercise, social contacts)
• Questionnaire responses and results (PHQ-4, PHQ-9, K10, GAD-7)
• Reminder settings (time, weekdays)

No technical identifiers, IP addresses, device IDs, or other technical data is collected.

4. Where is data stored?

Exclusively on your device. InnerPulse uses Apple's SwiftData framework for local data storage. No data is transmitted to external servers, cloud services, or third parties.

5. Data sharing

There is no data sharing with third parties. Neither mood data, journal entries, nor questionnaire results leave your device.

6. Tracking & Analytics

InnerPulse uses no Google Analytics, Firebase, crash reporting, or comparable services. No ads, no ad SDKs, no trackers, no fingerprinting.

7. Apple-specific notes

When downloading from the App Store, Apple's privacy policies additionally apply. Apple may collect anonymized usage statistics. If you create an iCloud backup, data stored in InnerPulse may be part of that backup.

8. Your rights (GDPR Art. 15–21)

You have the right to:

• Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Objection (Art. 21 GDPR)

Since all data is stored locally, you have full control: edit or delete entries directly in the app, use CSV export, or uninstall the app.

9. Legal basis

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance).

10. Data security

Your data is protected by your Apple device's security: device encryption (Data Protection), Face ID / Touch ID / passcode protection, and app sandbox isolation.
