InnerPulse 3.0 is the biggest step the app has taken so far. The Insights section was rethought from the ground up, you get four design themes, an optional Apple Health connection, weather as a factor, plus new ways to export data as a PDF and bring it back in via CSV. Through all of this, InnerPulse stays 100 % local and a one-time purchase. This release introduces the highlights briefly. All the details are in the docs.
A completely new Insights tab
Insights is now a standalone hub with five detailed views. The new "Year in Pixels" view in particular shows your entire year as a colorful grid and makes long phases visible at a glance.

How to read each view is explained in the chapter Insights & patterns. The article Recognizing patterns in your mood shows how to draw concrete conclusions from it.
Four design themes
InnerPulse now adapts visually to your taste. You choose between four themes with their own color world, each with a light and a dark mode. You'll find the theme selection in the settings, described in the chapter Settings.
Apple Health and weather as a factor
With your permission, InnerPulse pulls data from Apple Health and turns it into matching factors: workouts, sleep, cycle and hydration. You no longer have to enter the weather manually either, sunny and rainy days are suggested automatically. Both are strictly opt-in, your data stays with you and is not stored. How to activate the connection is in the chapter Apple Health & weather. How much movement has to do with mood is shown in the article Exercise and mood.
PDF export and CSV import
You can now create a PDF report of your data, suitable for printing or for sharing with your therapist. And for the first time, data can be brought back in via CSV, with validation and a preview before anything is written. Both features are explained in the chapter Export, import and back up data.
Privacy stays at the core
All entries from version 2 are carried over automatically. Apple Health and weather read nothing without your consent. As always, InnerPulse stays 100 % local, as you can read in the chapter Privacy & security. A good perspective on why self-observation works in psychotherapy is offered by the American Psychological Association.
